"What a stunning new initiative - how fantastic and well planned, long term."

PAD Campaigns

In order to develop an effective mini-manifesto for the 2005 Election, PAD looked at the major animal issues that were likely to be on the political agenda in this Parliament and that were being pushed by animal protection organisations.

The PAD strategy involves achieving popular animal protection reforms that are being blocked by vested interests, as well as laying the groundwork for further progress through broader political reforms (e.g. see EDM 480 below).

This is a thoroughly researched, ambitious yet achievable programme that complements other animal groups' work, all within a democratic framework.

2007/8 session

We are now urgently campaigning on five parliamentary Early Day Motions. Early Day Motions (EDMs) act as a barometer of political opinion, and send a signal to Government for the need to take action on the subject of the EDM.
